Our club, Deutscher Schaferhunde Club of San Diego (DSCSD), is an SV Regional Club within the German Shepherd Dog Club of America (GSDCA). If you plan to enter your dog in a GSDCA-sanctioned conformation show or trial, you, as an individual or family, must first become a member of the GSDCA.
Every dog entered in a GSDCA-sanctioned conformation show or trial must have its own scorebook. After you've secured your GSDCA membership, please contact GSDCA to obtain a scorebook for your dog. Scorebook application at this link: http://www.gsdca.org/sv-programs-forms/

Thank you to Thomas Schoder and Gina Clemeaux and their dogs Giorgia and Gipsy for joining us all the way from Melba, ID.
A very special thanks to our club helper, Victor Belanich, who completed his fourth club trial as our club helper. His tireless work again won high praise from Judge Bernhard Prem.
Finally, all of the club members wish to offer thanks to Mike McKinney, Linda Stafford, and Leon Luszcz for all of their time and dedication to the club.
DSCSD welcomed SV Körmeister and Conformation Judge Erich Bösl all the way from Schwandorf, Germany to oversee our breed survey and conformation show. Mr. Bösl is a well-respected breeder under the kennel name von der Piste Trophe and has produced many award winning German Shepherd dogs over the years.
Six amazing German Shepherds were presented for the breed survey on Saturday. Kaili von Haus Gerstenberg, owned by Sally Schoder, and Efo di Casa Caputi, owned by Linda Lundborg, completed a re-survey after interruption and will be eligible for a lifetime breed survey in 2025.
These four dogs completed lifetime breed surveys:
Our conformation show at Robb Field saw 29 beautiful German Shepherds strut their stuff. Every dog presented very well and received valuable critique from Mr. Bösl. Highlighting the show were V1 ratings awarded to the following Working Class dogs:
A very special thanks to the following:
Alethea Caldwell-Munsinger for sharing her wealth of knowledge in every
corner of this sport and for securing the trophies for this event.
Gretchen Weinzimer for her many hours behind the scenes producing a
wonderful catalog.
Abhai Kaul for his amazing graphic artistry throughout the catalog.
Sally Schoder for all the behind-the-scenes assistance.
Thomas Schoder for lending his helper expertise to our Breed Survey.
Additionally, DSCSD is very grateful for a generous donation towards the cost of trophies made in the name of Pathos Della Valcuvia.
Thanks to Nick Rura for this great drone footage.
One of our longest-tenured club members, Guy Nguyen, provided these photos from the first DSC club trial 17 years ago. He is shown handling V. Asko vom Giliannes during the protection phase of the trial.
Asko earned Sch 3, FH1, and KKL1 (Life) titles during his time with the club
Asko is one of the rare working line German Shepherds to earn a "V" rating in a conformation show
With rule changes that took effect January 1, 2019, the BH routine has been modified as described in the video below:
